The University was proud to host the Women’s FA Cup Second Round Draw on Monday 26 October, just one day after Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Lightning’s incredible victory against Nottingham Trent in their first-round fixture.

During the 30-minute broadcast, Hannah Langford, who recently became Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Lightning's most-capped player, and fellow player Morgan Rogers were interviewed following the team's standout 5-2 victory over the weekend.

They were joined by fellow teammates and other community women’s football teams alongside special guest Courtney Sweetman-Kirk.

The draw revealed that Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Lightning will next face either Preston North End or i2i International Soccer Academy in the second round, with the postponed tie between those two sides taking place on 1 November.

Hosted in the Sir David Wallace Hall, the Draw was broadcast live on TNT Sports, Channel 4 and the FA’s YouTube channel.
