If you’ve decided to fly to Manchester Airport then you’ll find lots of useful information on how to travel south to our Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é campus in the East Midlands.
By Taxi
If you’re travelling by yourself we do not recommend that you get a taxi, as it can be very expensive. However, if you’re travelling with a group, then this might be a good way of travelling to our Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é East Midlands campus.
The UK widely uses Uber, and we recommend downloading the Uber app before you travel so you can easily book a taxi on arrival. Once downloaded, you can enter your destination, see the estimated fare in advance, and pay securely through the app without needing cash.

By Train
Currently there is no direct trainline from Manchester Airport to Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Train Station. However, depending on which train you get, there is only one change. The most direct route is to get the train from Manchester Airport to Sheffield Train Station. You can then get a direct train from Sheffield to Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é.

Travelling from Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Train Station to our Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é campus
Once you’ve arrived at Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Train Station, you’ll find that there are plenty of taxis waiting outside the railway station. It normally costs around £10 and the journey from the train station to our campus will take around 10 minutes. Alternatively, the ‘Sprint’ bus runs directly to the University from the bus-stop outside the railway station and costs about £2.80. Visit for more information.
By Coach
You can get a coach at Manchester Airport, which will take you to our Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é campus. There are two changes, and the journey takes roughly 4 hours. If you are unsure what stop to get off at, please ask the driver.
Alternatively, operates services from Manchester Airport to Leicester St Margaret’s Bus Station, with a journey time of around 5 hours and 30 minutes and one change. From Leicester, you will need to take a local bus or taxi to Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é (approximately 30–40 minutes).
