Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é rugby has a long and proud history of developing internationals for the men’s and women’s game, including recent men’s stars Freddie Steward (England), and Thibaud Flament (France).
James Gallagher, Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é's Rugby Programme Manager, said: “We’re incredibly proud of Mario captaining his country on the international stage.
“It takes a special kind of player to lead a squad and he should feel a great sense of achievement in his latest role.
“Mario’s leadership qualities have shone through whilst he’s been at Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é, and he continues to be an inspiration to his current teammates and those looking to join the programme in the future.”
